Artist's Description

Piney Creek's water slows down as it begins to merge with the lake formed by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The waters are rife with woodland birds and waterfowl, turtles and alligators. At sunset, a sky moves across the slow waters and paints a reflection of yellows, golds and blues, like a curtain drawing an inevitable serenity to close out the stage of day. Soon the air and waters will be alive with insects, birds, bats and what is now a calm surface will be broken by the explosion of bass and crappie as they trade water for air to catch their prey.

This scene was originally photographed by iPhone and then repainted in Corel Painter.
