About Steven Gordon
Vibrant and dramatic images awaken our mood and senses. Their memory stays alive as a reflection in our souls. I live in the Southeastern U.S. where woods approach water, clouds top treetops, and hills and mountains lift the morning sun into the day and silhouette the start of night. Professionally, I'm a mapmaker and photographer. I love photography because it's a captured moment that's both eternal and incomplete. We see that photography with our eyes, ears, sense of touch. In that sense the photo is captured forever but still lives and is transformed--by you and by me. What we bring to the photograph when we view it is our own re-painting of the image.
