This digitally painted image with type presents words from the Divine Liturgy of John Chyrsostom, celebrated by Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholic churches. This part of the liturgy is called the Anaphora, which is when the priest pronounces the words of consecration over the bread and wine.

Vibrant and dramatic images awaken our mood and senses. Their memory stays alive as a reflection in our souls. I live in the Southeastern U.S. where woods approach water, clouds top treetops, and hills and mountains lift the morning sun into the day and silhouette the start of night.
